Why is there a discrepancy between leave in Employee and Visma Lön 300/600?

If the company uses seasonal hours and registers leave in percent, there may be a discrepancy between the time of leave in Employee and Visma Lön 300/600.

Please note that everything will be calculated correctly in both Visma Lön 300/600 and Employee. You do not have to do anything to adjust the discrepancy.

The discrepancy is due to leave in Employee being based on the actual time the employee should have worked that specific day. In the payroll program, the calculation of leave is instead based on a percentage of average working hours. This is to ensure accuracy in sickness benefit payments from Försäkringskassan.

Calculations are always done in minutes.

Example

The working hours for a full-time employee during seasonal work is 7 hours per day in Employee.

Seasonal work is not managed in the payroll program. Therefore, the average working hours for a full-time employee is 8 hours per day.

In this example, a full-time employee registers half a day of sick leave in percent (50%).

In Employee the calculation of leave is 50% * 420 minutes (7 hours) = 210 minutes (3.5 hours).

For the calculation to be correct in the payroll program, the value is recalculated in Employee, before the synchronisation, according to the following:

210 / 420 = 0.5

0.5 * 480 (8 hours) = 240 minutes

Instead of 210 minutes, 240 minutes till be transferred to Visma Lön 300/600 during the synchronisation.
