What settings affect the accounting in Payroll?

These settings affect the accounting:

  • The settings under Settings - Payroll settings, Accounting tab.
  • The account settings for each pay code in the Own settings tab under Settings - Payroll settings, Pay codes tab.
  • The settings under Settings Cash and bank accounts. Here, the account chosen as the Primary operating account is used when creating the pay run accounting records.

If you work in Bookkeeping & Invoicing and have a bank integration, account 2910 is used automatically. It cannot be changed.

  • Payment method for employees under Payroll - Employees, Pay tab. If Cash is selected in the Payment field, it is automatically posted to account 1910.

  • Personal ledger account for employees under Payroll - Employees, Pay tab.
