Change an employee's pay

Do the following to change an employee's pay:

  1. Select Payroll - Employees
  2. Select the employee from the list and choose the tabPay.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the Full-time salary/Hourly wages field.

For an employee who works full time and has a fixed monthly salary, you enter the full-time salary amount. If the employee works part time you should enter the salary that the employee would have if working full time. The part-time salary is then calculated based on the current employment rate for the work schedule. For employees with the employment type Simplified, the part-time salary is instead calculated based on the current employment rate for the pay row.

  1. Click New pay.
  2. Select a date for the change under As of date.

If you want to delete an incorrectly added change of salary, you click on on the row with the error.
