I've deleted a bank transaction by mistake, how do I post the payment now?
If you delete a bank transaction that you registered manually, imported, or pasted in, it disappears from the list under Cash and bank transactions. To post the payment, register the bank transaction again and match it against the invoice as usual.
Here’s how:
- Go to Cash and bank transactions and select the account the payment relates to.
- Select New bank transaction.
- Enter the date, reference, and amount from your bank statement and select Money in.
- Select Add.
Read more about how to then match the bank transaction against the correct customer invoice in Match incoming payments manually and How do I mark an invoice as paid?.
If the bank transaction comes from an active bank connection, you can't delete or add it yourself. Read more in How do I delete a bank transaction?..
