Add two-step verification

With two-step verification, the account that you log into gets an extra layer of protection. You log in with two-step verification by opening the app you use for this, for example Visma Authenticator or Google Authenticator. The app generates a security code that you enter when you log in to My Spiris with your login details. You can check the Remember this device for 30 days box when you log in. Then you only need to enter a new security key every 30 days.

Please note that you need to sign in with your password to enable two-step verification. So you can’t sign in with Mobile BankID to do this.

Keep in mind that if you use the bank integration in Bookkeeping & Invoicing you need to have Google Authenticator as an app for two-step verification.

Visma Authenticator

Visma Authenticator is our two-factor authentication (2FA) app. It supports sending 2FA push notifications during login. When you enter your password at login, you'll receive a notification on your mobile phone and with a single click you can accept or reject the login attempt. The app can also generate 6-digit security codes that you can use if you prefer instead of push notifications.

Download the Visma Authenticator app for free from Google Play or App Store.

Recommendations for accounting offices
We recommend that you activate two-step verification for all users at your accounting office. Logging into Spiris will become even more secure upon activation. The activation will not affect your clients.

If you don’t enable two‑step verification, it may still affect you. This happens if one of your customers chooses to enable two‑step verification for all their employees. The activation would then apply to all employees at your accounting office who participate in the client's assignments.
