Payroll
Which holiday term should I choose for a fixed-term employee?
It depends on how long the employment lasts.
|
Less than 3 months |
Holiday pay is paid directly instead of holiday days. Select holiday term 30 – Seasonal/Extra employment with holiday compensation. |
|
3 months or longer |
The employee is entitled to take accrued holiday as days. Select holiday term 10 – Annual Leave Act, employed with holiday pay per day or 20/21 – Monthly salary with holiday allowance + variable parts, depending on whether holiday pay should be calculated as daily pay or with a holiday allowance. |
Different rules may apply if the employment is covered by a collective agreement. If so, check what the agreement says.
Then choose holiday term for the employees under Payroll - Employees, the Holiday tab.
