Calculate and register deduction for care of sick child
In order to register a deduction for leave due to care of sick child, you use the pay code Care of sick child, deduction. The deduction is always calculated per hour of leave.
Employee with monthly salary
Deduction for care of sick child per hour: (monthly salary x 12) / (52 x weekly working hours)
Example of how to calculate the deduction
The employee has a monthly salary of 25 000 kronor and works 5 days a week, 8 hours per day. The employee's weekly working hours are therefore 40 hours.
(monthly salary x 12) / (52 x weekly working hours)
(25 000 x 12) / (52 x 40)
(300 000) / (2 080) = 144.23 kronor
Employee with hourly wages
If you use the pay code Care of sick child, deduction, the employee will not receive hourly wages for the leave. You should therefore instead reduce the working hours by using the pay code Hourly wages to the actual hours worked.
